| DETRODIGEST | |
| Our research works demonstrate that “Detrodigest” applied to the system works in two ways. Primarily, It degrades the organic matter into CO2 and assimilable minerals enhancing the micro algal productivity of the system. Secondly, it enhances the total heterotrophic bacterial population in the system, increasing the protease production. The “Detrodigest” application showed a direct relation to the primary parameter, protease enzyme concentration. The increased enzyme production indicated rapid degradation of the nitrogenous waste to the level of ammonia, which is utilised by the micro algal population. The secondary parameters are more related to the algal population than to the desired Bacillus population. | ![]() |
| The results indicated that Bacillus sp applied for the bioremediation are not retained in the system for extended period, and therefore it was needed to replenish the system with “Detrodigest” at regular intervals. On an environmental perspective it is a good sign that “Detrodigest” application does not alter the microbial ecosystem permanently and it strongly suggest that this probiotic preparation would be a better selection for bioremediation (bioaugmentation) in aquaculture ponds. |
| Outstanding features of ‘Detrodigest’ Euryhaline Nature - An extensive study on the salinity preference of the organism in Detrodigest revealed its euryhaline nature by growing and adequately producing hydrolytic enzymes at all salinities tested ranging from fresh water (5.0ppt) to sea water (30ppt). Versatility - The organism in Detrodigest are highly versatile with the potential to produce a variety of enzymes such as Protease, Lipase, Chitinase etc Better Algal Bloom - As a result of the digestion of detritus, mineralization proceeds at a faster rate resulting in phytoplankton bloom, generally three days after the addition of Detrodigest. The bloom may remain for 10 days and for perpetual blooming repeated addition once in 10-15 days has been found to be fruitful. Keeps the pond bottom clean Decreases BOD, COD, Ammonia, suspended and dissolved solids Increases degradative enzymes in pond bottom

| PS - I For Effective control of luminescent bacteria in aquaculture systems Advantages: |
![]() ![]() Antagonistic property of PS 1 against Vibrio |
| ENTEROTROPHOTIC |
A scientific blend of Bacillus sp.
(CFDDM MCCB 101) and Micrococcus sp. (CFDDM MCCB 104) isolated
from marine environment and characterized for application as gut probiotic.
It controls Vibrio in shrimps/prawn intestine of by way antagonistic activity
mediated by an extracellular anti-vibrio molecule and enhances feed acceptance
and digestion by way of producing hydrolytic enzymes.

| Shrimp Guard Will be introducing a microencapsulated glucan with bacterin preparation, aimed to increase the survival rate, boost up immune system, impart resistance to vibriosis, water quality stress and to increase the rate of metamorphosis in prawn larvae. The specially designed wall material prevents the leaching of core material and thus reduces the water quality deterioration Expect the product by March 2007 |
